The workshops will explore what's happening in the South Island in terms of SUDI prevention and where improvements could be made. Our goal is to reduce the rate of SUDI by 86 per cent overall and 94 per cent for Māori by 2025.

Workshops are three hours and are being held throughout the South Island in November and December.

Workshops are being run by the South Island Alliance of DHBs and funded as part of the Ministry of Health's National SUDI Prevention Programme. Participants who are self-employed or attend outside of their usual employment will be reimbursed for their time.

For more information, visit the South Island Alliance website or contact Anna Foaese, WCTO Quality Improvement Project Manager: anna.foaese@siapo.health.nz or 027 435 9905.
