The aim of National Safe Sleep Day - Te Rā Mokopuna is to raise awareness about Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), with the vision of reducing the rate in which it occurs in our New Zealand families and communities. SUDI is preventable, and the risk factors for our babies can be significantly reduced, should the right steps be implemented.
The National SUDI Prevention Coordination Service offers the sector Safe Sleep Day digital resources (see below link) to support your local and community activations for the day. This suite of resources will be updated next month to refresh the brand.
If you have any activations you would like promoted for Safe Sleep Day, please forward them to Lindi.Rule@hapai.co.nz and we will include in our November newsletter and on social media.
