Tēnā koutou, I am Catherine Crichton, the SUDI Regional Prevention Coordinator and Well Child Tamariki Ora Quality Improvement Manager for the South Island Alliance (SIAPO) covering Canterbury and the West Coast, I am currently based in Ōtautahi.
I was raised in Wellington and moved to Palmerston North to study Nursing, then lived there on and off for about 10 years before moving to Kawatiri, and have recently moved to Ōtautahi. I have previously worked in a Neonatal Unit, Starship Children’s Hospital, Radius Medical – as a Practice Nurse, and most recently, Public Health Nurse and B4 Schools Coordinator at the West Coast DHB.
I enjoy working with children and their families and working with them to achieve their goals.
In my role, I enjoy working with the various DHBs, providers and organisations across the West Coast and Canterbury regions to achieve better outcomes for family/ whanau as well as sharing my experiences and understanding of the WCTO service.
