Dr Lance O’Sullivan is a General Practioner in Kataia, Northland. He was awarded New Zealander of the Year in 2014 for his leadership within the far North and his commitment to addressing systemic health inequities within his community. He and his wife established Te Kōhanga Whakaora, a low-cost health clinic to combat issues of disparity and access to health care in the far North. In addition, he established a school-based clinic which provides medical services for over 2000 children in the area.
